In the new thriller, Egerton playsEthan Kopek, a TSA agent who’s blackmailed by a mysterious traveler, inducing perhaps the most airport anxiety ever.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (who’s no stranger to airplane danger: He previously directed the Liam Neeson action flick Non-Stop), Carry-On marks the first collaboration between Netflix and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners, a partnership that was announced in 2021.

Written by T.J. Fixman (the Ratchet & Clank video games) and Michael Green (Logan, Blade Runner 2049), Carry-On follows a young TSA agent as he fights to outsmart a mysterious traveler who blackmails him into letting a dangerous package slip onto a Christmas Eve flight.
